USCGC Eagle

Portsmouth, NH had an interesting visitor this past weekend: the Coast Guard's storied tall ship Eagle. She entered the harbor Friday evening accompanied by an armada of commercial boats and pleasure craft, and was open for tours through yesterday afternoon. This is one impressive vessel!

The largest tall ship in America, Eagle is 300 feet long with a 148 tall main mast and 23 sails. Early this morning, she headed back up the Piscataqua River and out to open sea.
