The Falconer

Here's another beautiful statue located in Central Park. This was perhaps my favorite: The Falconer, (bronze) sculpted by Englishman George Blackall Simonds. Though I realize it's a falcon depicted here, still it conjured up this passage:

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

If you're new to the park and want to find this statue, it's located just south of the 72nd Street transverse road and east of West Drive.
