The Colors of Autumn

"How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days." John Burroughs

It is interesting that nature bursts forth with spectacular color as it awakens - and once again as it prepares to go to sleep. It's unfortunate that neither display lasts very long, but then again, maybe the fact that these spectacular "shows" are fleeting is one of the reasons they're so very precious.

Enjoy every minute as you witness the artistry again this autumn!

(Beaver Brook Falls, pictured above, is my favorite waterfall in the state of New Hampshire. Located near Colebrook in the far northern part of the state, it's a real beauty any time of the year.)
