Shhhh....Don't Tell the Cat

Our sweet little kitty loves the Christmas tree, sleeping under it every night. It's about time for decorations - including the tree - to come down, though. I don't think she'll greet this development with enthusiasm. (Actually, I would have already completed this task, but for the cat.)

Particularly due to her age (she'll be 16 in April) and the fact that she's in declining health, it is quite possible this is the last Christmas we'll be able to enjoy the sight you see pictured here. One never knows, though. We're happy to be able to give her the gift of "her tree" (as it has become) - where she dreams peacefully under the colorful lights.

And so I've postponed removing it for another day. Shhhhhhh.  :)
