One of Those Days?

We all have them. Worse, sometimes it isn't just a single day...it's a week. Maybe more. Nothing seems to go your way. Stuck in one of those ruts? I read the quote below attributed to Henry Ford a while back and loved it. It's a great analogy - and a nice reminder about perseverance and staying positive.

Planes do take off into the wind. While that may seem counter-intuitive (wouldn't they want tailwind to give them a little extra push down the runway?), it's actually quite logical. The wind provides more airspeed, which creates lift. While it's not impossible to take off downwind, the preferred method is to go against it as less runway - and ground speed - are required to become airborne. As for this little quote - it's on the wall of my office!
