October's Party

I love the George Cooper classic poem about autumn, October Gave a Party - especially the opening: "October gave a party; The leaves by hundreds came..." The lovely foliage is at peak right now in New Hampshire's White Mountains, which remains my favorite place to view the "show."

I've been working on photo shoots up north on-and-off since the end of September. It's always a lot of work, but certainly a labor of love! The image below is one of my favorites so far this season.

As the heavy early morning fog clears over Crystal Lake in Eaton, New Hampshire, it reveals a lovely scene.
