Nature's Beautiful Moments

That Emerson quote is especially evident in nature. Photographing the landscape, it never ceases to amaze me how dramatically a scene can change - sometimes literally from one moment to the next.

The light is never exactly the same, nor the conditions, let alone obvious variances inherent due to the time of day or changing of the seasons.

As a result, it's virtually impossible to exactly replicate the image I've captured when I snap the shutter. It's a moment in time that is truly unique. When considered in that context, it makes the beauty of nature even that more special, doesn't it?
