Just Do It

Like the Book of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes contains so many pearls of wisdom. This one, in the Good News Translation, reminds me of the modern day Nike tagline - Just Do It!

If you wait until the wind and weather are just right, you will never plant anything and never harvest anything.

If we put our plans on hold until conditions are absolutely optimal, there's a good chance we'll spend a lot of time sitting on the fence. How often are things "just right?" Running rashly into ventures without planning - or making significant decisions without careful consideration - are typically ill-advised. But so is being paralyzed by the fear of moving forward.
