Is Opportunity Knocking?

Alexander Graham Bell: inventor, visionary...and evidently, a bit of a philosopher, too! Opportunity may be left waiting outside in the cold if we fail to notice the door behind which it stands. It's reasonable to expect that a guy like Bell experienced his share of failures.

Consider the many things he's credited with creating (30 patents in all...18 in his name, and 12 with collaborators) across multiple disciplines, and you know there had to be scores (if not hundreds) of unsuccessful attempts along the way. He undoubtedly understood the importance of being adaptable...of keeping an open mind. Failure can put you one step closer to success.
