Christmas May Be Past...But The Christmas Project Continues
If you're a regular reader, you know that The Christmas Project, a self-assigned photographic endeavor, is now into its third year. I didn't make it to New York City this month. Newport, RI was never going to happen due to time limitations, though ever the optimist, I'd thought I could make it work.
Florida didn't pan out (I was there just a wee bit too soon - the official tree lightings had not yet taken place).
But I did add to the portfolio. Earlier in the month, you saw a few images from Boston. That's where I ended up doing the majority of my work this season - although my favorite composition came from Maine, at Portland Head Light. Here's another Boston image from this month:
This is the Commonwealth Avenue Mall, where Christmas lights are lit literally as far as the eye can see. Lovely. And made even more pretty this particular night (23 December) as the setting sun painted the sky with color.
